Just for Men world championships in Portland October 25

Got a world-class beard or moustache? You need to be in Portland, Oregon on October 25 for the 2014 Just for Men World Beard and Moustache Championships®. The competition takes place at the spectacular, 3,000-seat Keller Auditorium in downtown Portland. Hundreds of the world’s best beardsmen will put the art of facial hair on display in the most entertaining and creative competition ever to hit the Northwest.

From delicate Dali moustaches to anything-goes full beard freestyles and medal-worthy sideburns, this competition represents the full spectrum of beard and mustache art with 17 categories. World Beard and Moustache Championships® is a registered trademark of World Beard and Moustache Championships, LLC., the organizer of the 2014 World Beard and Moustache Championships in Portland. The same company organized the 2003 WBMC and was an organizer of the 2009 WBMC in Anchorage, Alaska. As Beard Team USA, it has attended the WBMC’s held in Berlin in 2005, Brighton in 2007, Alaska in 2009, Norway in 2011, and Germany in 2013, always with the largest (or at least one of the largest) delegations in attendance. It also organized the National Beard and Moustache Championships® held in Oregon in 2010, Pennsylvania in 2011, Las Vegas in 2012, and New Orleans in 2013.

  1. Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I was under the distinct impression that the world championships only took place every 2 years, and that after this year the next event was scheduled for 2015 in Austria.
