Men from all walks of life enjoy letting their hair down—or, letting their shaving schedule lapse, as it were—and sporting a beard. Poker players are no exception. You’re bound to find plenty of poker pros displaying various styles of facial hair, but we’ll discuss a few better known players of the lot.

First up is Barry Greenstein. Known as poker’s very own Robin Hood due to giving every penny of his winnings to charity, Greenstein is a three-time bracelet winner, two-time WPT champ and a frequent beard wearer. Barry’s usually sporting a scruffy-looking, fuller beard; this appears to be trimmed up rather nicely. And kudos for not going the dyed route, Barry; we appreciate the realness.

This take on a classic chin curtain is being displayed by former WSOP Champion Huckleberry Seed. Huck’s a four-time bracelet winner, including his 1996 Main Event win, and can often be found sporting various styles of facial growth on tables all around the world.

Next up is Andrew Black. This Irishman is considered one of the greatest poker players to never strike gold at the WSOP. Andy Black, noted for his online gambling prowess as well as his lively table demeanor, is forever famous for losing the 1997 World Series of Poker to eventual champion and uber-legend Stu Ungar. Andy’s full beard here would make a nice French fork or a Van Dyke given another few inches of growth.

Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, 2000 WSOP Champion and five-time bracelet winner, is one of the only pros to keep a beard at all times. This boxed goatee is only one of the many styles worn by Ferguson. Other beard styles include everything from a short boxed to Balbo and even a low-maintenance, good old-fashioned full beard.
